Hello Friend.
Hi, my name is Hassan Raza from Pakistan, was a medical student in Changsha, China. I am finished my studies here and have an admission letter from Kaplan International College in Toronto, Canada. I also have a letter from my cousin who lives in Toronto. He's been living there for twenty years and will support me while I study there for 10 months. He is financially able to support me the entire time.
My Chinese Student visa is valid until the 30th of August. Classes in Toronto will start in September 2012.
My question is, I have admission letter, supporting letter from my cousin, what else do I need to have in order to get my study permit? My father in Pakistan will send me a bank statement from there, will you accept that ?(how much money should there be in the bank statement). According to Kaplan College I need to be Toronto at least one month before I start studies.
My second question is weather I can apply from China? Please let me know what other things I need to provide with my application to secure that I will get a student visa.
Dr.Hassan
1. Will you applying to CHC Islamabad or CHC in China? If you are applying from Pakistan then College LOA won't help your cause and would take a lot of time for admission unless you are lucky.
2. Don't show your ties in Canada, it will make your case weaker.
3. Yes, parents as a sponsors are accepted without any worries.
4. As per CIC website your bank statement should be more than 1st year tuition fee + 13,000. However it is advised to have bank statement more than this.
5. As per CHC China website, you can apply to the CHC office in Beijing only. You can not apply to the other 2 offices in China.
6. If you are applying from China then follow their checklist. you can find details here http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/china-chine/visas/beijing-pekin/studying_canada_etudier.aspx?lang=eng&view=d
As your visa is expiring on 30th August, you might face problems.
