ASSALMUALIKUM,
As u all know ALLAHMDULIALH i got visa but i didn't go to Canada due to personal matters
now my question is that recently i got Creden Evalution letter for Memorial university ( MUN) which is of no use
Now MUN is saying me to do 4 year BBA program but i have already done 2 year B.com from Karachi university. i don't want to do it as it is tooooooo long so i am planning for 2 years diploma IN TORONTO so whether i will be eligible for PR after 2 yrs diploma or not?
and 1 more question is that if i am doing diploma from college then to whom i have to inform?

You will not be eligible for PR after 2 year diploma, for PR you need to study for at least 2 years (or 16 months) and get either a bachelors degree or a master degree, diploma does not count.
If your visa was granted for memorial university you will have to go there, you cannot go to some other university, once you are in canada you can change your university, but you must be studying for a bachelor level program, as you plan to go for diploma you will have to inform CIC and get their permission.

I have noticed that there is a lot of variation in the time duration in which student visa is granted, what is the average time taken to get medical call for student visa. I applied for student visa on 6th of august 2012, I am planning to go to University of Regina, for Master of Admin, before this I have MBA from local university.

As you guys know Inam already left and I am leaving in two days, and will not be able to update the sheet at least for some initial weeks.
Today I discussed it with Ramzero "the creator of this thread". we need at least two guys who could stick to forum, regularly update the sheet and guide our country fellows. I personally want momi to hold the reins of sheet and anyone other who wants to take this responsibility. whosoever is interested pm me I will tell ramzero.
I believe this forum helps alot and many of us including me got visa on the basis of this forum and the previous sheets.

I have a query:

In Jan I will start my course and semester will last till April (4 months), then there is 4 month off till 31st Aug.
Then again new semester will start from September.

When i will be eligible to apply for off-campus work permit?

You can only apply after 6 months.........

Visa time varies from case to case, you cant predict it, some have got medical in two weeks and some after two months........

CHC asked me for updated LOA but I gave them the same on and requested to allow according to the same one and they accptd

can someone tell me what to expect, I submitted my student visa application through TCS visatroniks here in Lahore, on 6-Aug-2012, so does the Canadian embassy send a confirmation e-mail after receiving the application or just a medial request form. Basically what should i expect to happen next.
