Received my VISA (yesterday)

I am so happy! THANK YOU Everyone for helping me out. I had returned my PP on 23rd July and visa was issued on 31st July however, I received the PP back yesterday on 2 August.

I want to thank everyone on this forum for helping and I am highly thankful to Inam89 for his expert opinions.

Although I did not want to share my profile but I will do it now.

I am going to University of British Columbia for M.Eng Electrical.

Filed case: 2 July, 2012
Medical: 17 July, 2012
PP returned: 23 July, 2012
Visa issued: 31st July, 2012
Passport received: 2 August, 2012

And guess what, I got visa for 4 years while my course is only 2 years long. I think the strong part of my case was my financial statement. I have shown all my funds in a Canadian bank (RBC) and funds were more than 100k CAD maintained for over more than 1 year in my account. I have visited Canada a number of time previously.

wow good luck bro. but strange why they issued 4 years visa as you are telling course is of only two years.

You and wahab would have received your visa today but you both got delayed due the additional information requirement of CHC.

Momi should have got his visa in the previous batch of visas. I pray may he gets his visa in this next week. It is such a long wait for him.

Visa of longer duration can be issued but SP is issued till the end of your course. In order to enter Canada, you require both a valid Visa and SP/WP if you hold one not the other then you won't be allowed to enter.

However, you may be allowed to enter Canada with valid visa and no SP/WP if you are on implied status. In no case you can enter Canada without a valid visa.

Yes, it was the sum of all these factors. My weak points were my ties in Canada. My brother is a Canadian citizen and my sister is married in Canada.

Bro its fine don't worry .i also have my 3 sisters in Canada all of them are citizens ..in my view case depends upon on ur financial stuff ...and specially university & program....
