Yes, for Citizenship you have to have lived in Canada for 3 years in the past 4 years from the date of applying for citizenship. For PR you are not time bound. you have to have a job of 1 year(in most provinces, exceptions are there) in order to apply for PR

It is 3 out of 4 years.

There is also an interesting point: The time spent before getting PR is count as half. Like 1 day before PR = 0.5 day after PR.

The visa chances for Private colleges are low as there will no off campus work permit , no post graduate work permit and no PR, and most of the students have applied in private colleges............

Exactly.......men nay bohat socha bohat logon say baat ke jo is jield men hen........but only one reason mind men aai k college applicant k visas ku late he.........actually hamary yahan cosultansy fourm nay colleges ka image khraab kia hy mostly consultant stouffville and lsbf college men apply krwaty hen.......ku k in colleges k leay no academic requirement only metric pass student apply kr skta hy even without ielts or last year in colleges k ku k kuch visa lagy hen to cosultanon nay in colleges ke itni applications send ke jis ke intaha nahe i think hazaron men tadad hy........so thats why embassy walon ke nazar men college k image khrab kr dia in consultanton nay is leay i think ono ny colleges k leay qouta he alag bana dia hy ager koi good profile case b ata hy college ka to wo nahe dkhty.........are you agree guys........?

Canada is very good at education ........ Canadian Universities does not come in top ranking because we dont have enough people to do research .... and Universities are ranked on the basis of research.............. but if u look at at this way ......... non of Canadian Universities fall really low in ranking .......... secondly .......... study is not that expensive as UK ........... we have almost half fees as UK........... and wen u graduate ............. u earn ............ we return u almost 1/4 of ur fees in forms of tax return ..........
