Application Sent Today!

Hi folks,

It's been awhile since I have posted here. It's been a great summer here in Canada for my family, and last night after making copies and colating we sent our applications out to CPC Mississauga. For those who recall us, we were going to apply from inside Canada. However, by recommendation of one of the phone support people at immigration we changed and are applying outside Canada even though we are living here in Ontario.

The downside is that Hong Kong will still be our visa office and they don't have the greatest track record... but here's hoping!

and you never know....Accra says 9-20 months with a 40% refusal rate and my husband got his visa after just 2 months of processing there!

at least you are together, which is the most important thing and will make the waiting bearable.

bobshynoswife - Do you know where that statistic comes from? I've been trying to find that information out forever! I know it was discussed before... I'm applying outside of Buffalo, someone once said "95% acceptance rate" but where are these darn things? Lol!

I also have been wondering about the percentages of things! My husband and I are applying through Rome and it would be great to know what the refusal % is?

FYI - as of September 24th I am approved as a sponsor. My wifes PR application has been forwarded to Hong Kong... now the big wait!

We got a letter in the mail from Hong Kong this morning. It contained a receipt and file number for our case. I used the file number online and see that our status is now "In-process" (as of Oct 28) and it notes "Medical results have been received".

Does anyone know if this means we are just inches away from a decision, or is this where the 7 - 15 month wait begins??
