Hi everyone we sent out application to the wrong CIC office (Vegreville, AB) when it should have gone to CIC Mississauga.
The address had changed on the older form we used, hence the mistaken office. Has anyone else had this issue and have
any resolution? I believe they would either return the envelope back to us or forward it on to CPC Mississauga, but that might
take months, and the police certificate enclosed would be expired... Thanks for any input!

Good news- They will likely forward the application to CPC-M

Bad news- When you say "The address had changed on the older form we used..." makes me wonder if you are submitting an old version of one of the forms. That will cause CIC to possibly return your entire application.

Did you submit the latest version of all forms?

Its already delivered or not yet?? if already delivered then u must track those signature name (i mean the person received ur parcel ) then call cic and tell them about this and ask for better advise ..According to CIC bulletin FEB 13,2014 , They gonna divert all application from cpc- v to cpc-m those they received after JAN 17 .. So not to worried ,but better u call them and tell them about this and ask for good advise ..
2nd ...if ur parcel not delivered yet then u can hold ur delivery by calling ur delivery company or agent and u can ask them to bring back that parcel to u .. that's all ... good luck and god bless all of us

Thanks guys, the letter was delivered and signed for. We called the office and they said they will either return back to us or forward to Mississauga so hopefully it doesn't take them months to open it and realize this or else the police and medicals will expire.... i believe we did send the correct versions of the forms as well.
If only CIC responded as fast as people on this site do, we'd all be much further along now :)

Don't worried about ur PCC And Medical ...As u know its already with CIC (In CPC-V) ..Best thing for u guys if CPC-V Divert ur application to CPC-M because in that case nothing gonna be expired ...but if CPC-V return back ur parcel to u guys then may be ur PCC gonna be expired because CIC don't Accept PCC if that older than 3 months ..Good Luck Guys

Harmin, where did you hear that Police clearance won't be accepted if older than 3 months? Yoy mean the application will be returned as incomplete before AOR?

Inland guide: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5289ETOC.asp
Police certificates
The certificate must have been issued no more than three (3) months prior to submitting your application.

My advice will be to redo the application and send it to Mississauga. I made the same mistake. Remember it takes a while for Vegreville to process applications so you are looking at a minimum of six months before they open your file and discover the mistake.

Oh that would be a very drastic step to take! Unless you have copies of everything that you submitted (pictures, letters, etc.) I wouldn't do that.

The mistakes are usually found before you receive AOR. The applications are looked over (briefly) to ensure that the forms are the latest revisions and all required signatures are in place. That's not to say that an application can't be returned after AOR, but it seems rather rare.

Have you called CIC to get their opinion on what, if anything, you should do?

May i know What make u think they gonna take 6 months to open application parcel ?? Most of the parcel open by them with in 2 to 3 weeks because if they took 6 month to open application parcel then how they gonna send u AOR with in 50 days ..AOR mean they received ur complete application and if ur application is un complete then they gonna get back to u or return back to u ...i know she send application to wrong CPC But they not gonna take more than 5 weeks to divert it to CPC-M ...

I did the same thing. They received it at 3 28 14 but I cant find any status on it. Should i be concerned? What did you end up doing?

Thanks

Jeff
