Hi everyone,

My Husband and I are living in Trinidad and I am a Canadian Citizen. We have just started the process of sponsorship and I was approved to sponsor my Husband. I would like to know what the second part of the application, what they look for. Also, we didnt pay the PR fee yet, should we pay now or wait to get a letter and then pay? Thanks

Hi there, I am Cdn wife and my husband is Trini as well; however, he is there and I am still here due to work and other family obligations. Most people suggest (if you can afford it) to pay the ROPR fee up front with the application or as soon as possible once you have submitted your application. Best way is to do it online, that way Immigration gets it and there is no fear of any papers getting lost.

Also if you search Port of Spain in this forum you can see the experiences and opinions of others going through spousal sponsorship process via the POS visa office. People are kind and support each other. Blessings.
