Hi guys,

I sent our outland application in beginning of October and we just got our sponsorship approval letter, which is great. However, my wife is Japanese and we were expecting it to be processed in Manila. However, the letter we received said the application is being sent to Hong Kong. Does anyone know why this happened, and if it's normal? Will it be a problem that for our medical, we listed our visa office as Manila?

Thanks!

I think I'd contact the Call Centre and find out why a Japanese national's application was sent to China. That doesn't sound right. Maybe they could give you some info on how to follow it up with CPC-Mississauga.

Thanks for the response, RobsLuv.

I just called the Call Centre, and the agent was really helpful. She said there is definitely a mistake, either in the letter sent, or it was actually sent to Hong Kong erroneously. She's never seen this happen before. She instructed me to fax the Mississauga office about the issue. Now it's a wait and see (I know I'm definitely not alone). Sucks that things went off track track!

The good news is that you should actually get a response from CPC-Mississauga . . . unlike the overseas offices, they seem to be inclined to communicate with people!
