APPLICATION SENT PRE JUNE 26, 2010 FILE TRANSFERRED FROM BUFFALO TO SEATTLE VO

Hi All,

Did anyone else submit a FSW application to CIO pre June 26, 2010 then submit full package to Buffalo VO and later have their file transferred to Seattle VO?

Hi Wendy,

I sent my FSW application to Sydney, NS in March 2010. They received it April 8, 2010. My file got transferred from Buffalo to Seattle on Jan 26, 2012. Haven't heard a word since...

I have been comparing the timelines though and I hope that the Medical Request comes by the end of May...

Thanks for replying Matt. Good to see someone with a similar timeline as me. My file got transferred on Nov 8 2011 but when i contacted Seattle after the 90 days had passed they said they didn't get my file until early January (so 2 months differenc).

I've seen a few groups whereby people with later application submission dates have had MR already. Seems like Buffalo has sped up since transferring so many files to other VOs. Just our luck

WOW! 2 months difference! That's terrible! But kinda typical...

Yeah I don't really know what they are looking for when they send out the Medical requests and what not... I can't see any consistency there. Time wise its all over the place.

My eCAS changed today and had the extra line about my application has been reviewed and they started processing last week. Do you have a processing start date as well?

No I don't have a start date. I actually sent an email to the Seattle office last week and got a reply yesterday... This is what they said:

"Due to the heavy workload and budget cuts, Seattle office has a backlog now.

Your file arrived Seattle in March 2012 and is pending for review by an immigration officer. We will contact you after the officer reviewed your file. Please do not contact us unless there is a change of address or change in your family composition. Please do not use the E-CAS on the website, it is not accurate and up-to-date.

Please understand that our office cannot provide you with an update of case status by email on a regular basis, but rest assured that we will contact you for the next stage of the processing of your file. Thank you for your patience."

So even though I got a letter (email) in January 2012 where they told me that my file got transferred to Seattle they now say it didn't get there until March!

Hmmm interesting. Most of your email reply sounds familiar to what they sent me the last time they replied with the exception of the "due to the heavy workload line". that bit is new
So you got an email about Jan transfer and Seattle said March, same as my Nov 2011 which became Jan 2012. At least they are being consistent. Hopefully you'll get a processing date soon too.
Are you in Canada now or home country?

I'm in Canada. Just will have to keep renewing that work visa I guess... How about you?

If I compare it to your timelines then they should start processing my file sometime in July... unless their backlog is getting worse. Oh well. It's gonna happen sometime. We already waited over 2 years. How much longer can it take ;-)

Could you please let me know when you get your MR?

If you are able to keep renewing your work visa does that mean you are an Aussie too? I'm on my last visa as I'm too old now haha. My bf's visa just expired (he's English) and we are hoping he gets a visitor visa (waiting on that now) and that residency speeds up so he can work again.

I will for sure let you know once MR arrives. Probably should start checking both mailboxes daily as I think CIC put my residential address as my mailing when i updated. It's nice to have someone to compare notes with. I was starting to think I was the only one left
