I sent application and got acknowledgement. They gave me a period of 42 months to commence case processing. Now what if in between 42 months (before case processing starts) we get 1 more baby, I mean the family member increases?

What steps I need to take to add 1 more member into my application & is it going to effect the processing time? I hope it wont put waiting period to a fresh 42~44 months?

You would have to download (from the CIC website) a form ....
1. IMM. 0008 page 2 for "DETAILS of FAMILY MEMEBER" fill in the same
2. Notarized copy of Birth Certificate.
3. Notarized copy of Passport of the childe (Bio Data page)
4. Demand draft for CAD 150.00
5. 10 photographs (with name & DOB on the back of each photograph)

Include all these along with a covering letter stating your file number.

Send all the douments said by mikelingen. If your wife is expecting, then inform them about the the coming baby. Don't delay sending the docs after baby's birth that could delay the case.

Best Wishes

Hello mr rana,

I recently had a baby (after submitting the simplified application form a few months ago) and have been looking into the matter. Please see below for the information I found on the www.canada.org.uk website.

I have already submitted an application and have a newborn child to add to my file. How do I do this?

Once you have received the request for the updated information you will need to submit an updated application form with your child now included. You will also need to submit a copy of their birth certificate, 4 passport sized photos, the processing fee of 150$cdn and a copy of the passport if available. Please do not submit documents for adding family members until this is requested.

As stated above, I would wait until the embassy contact me requesting further information.
I hope this is of any use.

Kind Regards

ManiB

I have sent a mail to my local canadian embassy on this issue and here's the answer I received.

"you can submit an amended application form, a birth certificate, and the additional fees to add a dependant following the child's birth."

They would prefer us to submit it right after the birth of the child.

Thanks for the information eewl.

I think I better submit the updated form with relevant docs straight away.

Cheers

Is it possible not to pay the application fee for family at the time of application but later.
