Where does it say on CIC website that academic IELTS is not acceptable? Just curious

Hi! Sorry to hear about your application being returned.
I am just wondering if they returned it in the same Canada Post envelope you sent it in or did they use a new one? I am asking because I submitted my application back in March and haven't received AOR yet and I recently moved to a different city so I don't have access to my old mailbox.
Hence, if they send applications back in the original envelope which I still have the tracking number for, I could track it if they send it back and at least know that my application was returned and that I have to submit a new one.

Hi, may I ask when did you originally send your application to them? I am facing a similar issue where I submitted my IELTS Academic when I sent in my application early this month. I checked with other forums and someone recommended sending them a case-specific inquiry and attach my IELTS General (expired but was told it would be accepted). I did so and received an email back that they verified my document sent but as my file has not yet been uploaded to their system, wait a while, and resend again. I was going to wait till I received AOR but you did not receive it and got your application returned so I might wait a month or so and resend again.

They sent your application package back, didn't they? You will need to send the same package back with the new IELTS. That's what happened with my wife last year when she got something wrong with the application. They returned all our applications, but mine and my daughter's were tightly wrapped with a note saying they were already considered complete. We then fixed what needed fixing in my wife's application and sent the whole package back. It did then got accepted.
