Application Returned!

My application returned today due to a missing child birth certificate. They said both parents application is complete. My child was not born in canada.

The letter they attached with child application has written the following:

Applicants Name:_________________ ?????

Please choose the following option

1. Submitting a complete application please check on the statement below sign, date and return this annex and the childs application to the mailing address below.

If you choose option 1 the childs application will first reviewed to ensure it is complete. If the child minor grant application is still incomplete it will not be processed and returned to you with the proof of payment.

¤ I wish to resubmot an application on behalf of this child for a minor grant of citizenship. I have included:

● the spplication form
● the required documents
● the proof of payment


2. Request a Refund: Please check on the statement below sign, date and teturn this annex A abd proof of payment to mailing address.


Parent's signature_____________ Date:____________

I check the first option. Question is should I write the child's name in applicants name above or a parent name who is signing the application. Hope you guys got my point.

i got the same letter.. and before giving answer i checked the same page as well.. but i forget to have copy after completion of this..
but i think logically each applicant is separate ... so as per my opinion Applicant name should be the kids name
and parents signature will be principal applicant (in my case) and date......
on top of this i also write the covering letter... so i write my name as

farther of XXXXXX XXXX XXXXX

at the end and signed as well..

Thanks imran. I am from pakistan. Birth certificate has translation in english on the certificate but there is a B form (CRC) which I have to translate in english and get attested from notary republic. Did you do same?

Yes i did the same..
OTIA member.. translation is acceptable...it will cost you $100-$150

but i just send.. CRC copy attested... translation attested..with covering letter...and the letter you mentioned and old kid application coz it is complete.. and all mine and my wife old applications as well coz all are complete..

OTIA member.. translation is acceptable...it will cost you $100-$150

I have already format of CRC in english accepted before in immigration application. I am just gonna notarised it from here. Would that suffice.

i do have the old one.. but the translation is done by someone from back home..
so i dont wanna go for complications..
know i am here and we do have translator here as well.. so why not have a fresh copy... duly translated by a certified translator from canada..
and despite we also need affidavit of the person who translate as well..here translator gave everything...thats what i think

a certified copy of the original document.

I am plnning to send me application in a few weeks and came across your discussion. I have a few questions:

1. Why are our sending the CRCs (Child Reistration Certificate) for your children? I though, the CIC Guide only requires the birth certificate?

2. If I understand correctly, you are not getting the birth certificate from Pakistan translated in English, as it is both in English and Urdu....Correct?

MY app. returned before AOR received. It wasn't a DOB issue. Child birth certificate was missing.
