Application returned due to outdated version of a form

Hi All,

Submitted the citizenship package at end of july 2021 .. Package included 4 applications (spouse, 2 kids and self).

In my spouse application , I used Use of Representative form too ie IMM 5476 (07-2021)E and declared myself as her representative.

Now the complete package is returned with the comment that the representative form is outdated however, the form is correct and latest one as per CIC site.

i have attached the letter from CIC... they also yellow highlighted the filled in representative form but its the last version. There is no version after that.

What shall i do? i am planning to send the same package again with a note that its an honest mistake from their side.

I wouldn't do that. Print the latest form on their website and refill it before sending the package out again. Also, make sure the date of the application is within the limit they specify (I forgot the exact duration), i.e., if it took > x months to return your application, you may need to refill the whole application

Hmmm, that's weird. This could be a clerical error.

Just out of curiosity, can you confirm the version of the citizenship application form that you submitted?

for citizenship application form, the version i used was CIT 0002 (10-2020) E.

My package came back due the "Use of Representative form" which they said that i used an outdated version which you are right, it could be a clerical error.

Yes, you used the correct version of the form for both. This is a clerical error and it wasted your time and theirs as well.

This sucks.

Print out a new form and fill in the details and send it back to them. Also, include a letter explaining that the application was returned because of an administrative error and you have submitted the correct version of the form.
