Application returned before June 26th

Hello,
i had sent my PR applicaiton to UK Canadian Counslate on May-12th-2010.

My application was stamped by canadian counslate and returned back to my address, mentioning that your application recieved date is may-25th and i have to post my applicaiton to Sydney,VS,Canada Address.


My confusion is, i posted my application to Sydney,Canada in july.
And i recently came to know that some of the Canadian Immigration laws have changed from June 26th. I also noticed some of the forms have changed, and IELTS test was made mandatory.

I wanted to check since my application was stamped on May-12th in the Uk canadian counsalate. Will that be considered as my application recieved date by Sydney,Canada(and not considered under the new laws).

You are probably out of luck if your application was received in Sydney after 26/06/10. CIC is not your mother, you sent the application to the wrong office, so the date it was received there has no bearing on your application. So if the application you posted to Sydney didn't meet the requirements, it will be coming back.

Hi, Again I would like to know whether they would charge me for application i have send without the IELTS or would they simply return my application and ask me to post them the IELTS points.

As you would be assessed under the new rules , it will be sent back as incomplete application
