Hello everyone,

I had received invitation to apply for permanent residency in the September 2019 draw. However, my application was rejected within 2 weeks of documents submission. The rejection letter stated that my wife's police clearance certificate did not cover the entire period since her 18th birthday. The immigration authority did not ask for document completion and straight away rejected my application on incompleteness grounds. The letter also stated that they have not conducted further verfication of the application/ documents once they came across the incomplete pcc and I should reapply for express entry as I have been removed from the pool.

I will now have to submit the entire application from the scratch. Since the pcc issue is the last thing I could think of, I am now worried about other documents' which I had submitted.

Can someone guide me how to proceed with the new application?

What is there to guide ? Revisit all your paper-work and ensure they are in order and comply with requirements.

It's not rejection, it's a cancellation. If all else is correct, just get the new PCC with the right specs and recreate the profile ASAP, I mean, create the new profile now!

Thanks a lot for helping out. Can you please let me know where to get the complete check list, so that I may avoid such mistake again?

Does your wife's PCC gives dates?
I mean does it states from when to when in her lifetime it covers? I guess different countries have their different ways if writing a PCC.

Here is the official guide for the documents required to properly file an eAPR under the Express Entry stream: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/permanent-residence/express-entry/applications-received-on-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

Make sure your documents contain the same or more information as mentioned on this page

Actually it states that the person is residing on this address from xyz date (which in my case is the date of our marriage, thus not covering the complete period) till date.
