Application Refusal & later Passport Request by CIC (New-Delhi)

Hi Everyone

I applied for the Study permit visa twice (20-Feb-2016 & 11-Mar-2016), but my application was refused both times. The reason specified in the refusal letter were as follows

Application of 20-Feb (online application)
(1) You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including: purpose of visit
(2) Other reasons: Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing marksheets, employment, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.

Application of 11-Mar (paper application)
(1) Other reasons: Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, employment, level of establishment, language abilities or your future prospects or plans

Suddently on 14-Apr, I received an update in the online application (of 20- Feb) with passport request with following content

"This is in reference to your application for temporary residence. A decision has been made on your application. We require your passport to finalize processing your application."

Confirmation of Online Application Transmission - February 20, 2016
Submission Confirmation - February 20, 2016
Correspondence Letter - February 23, 2016 (here I received a letter for application refusal)
Original Passport Request - April 15, 2016 (here I received a letter for passport submission)


My Application/profile Details for online application is presently as below
Application/profile status Open
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
Review of biometric information Not needed at this time
Final decision Not Started

I have submitted my passport of High Commission of Canada at New Delhi through VFS on 21-Apr.

Please share views with regard to my visa status, whether its approved or rejected with present status. I am very confused with receipt of both refusal letter and later passport request. Is it possible that CIC review the online application themselves without any new application.

Anyone else had similar experience please share.

Got my passport with visa stamp on it.

That is strange. A refusal then an acceptance? Did you submit additional documents after your refusal and before them requesting your passport?

I didn't submit any document after refusal, but I wrote mail to High commission how they have neglected my documents while stating the reasons for rejection.

I didn't hired any agent for my visa filing. All documents and filing was done by me. But if you need assistance you can take help from any registered visa consultant with ICCRC. I took help of GEPSI Consutant in ahmedabad for visa of my family as i was in canada.

Hi Guys,
I'm in a confused state of mind.

I got a request for original passport submission. And the after 5 minutes, I received another message with refusal of the study permit. Anybody had such an experience? Please share.

Online application - 16 March 2017
Original Passport Request - 30 March (04.02pm Indian Time)
Application Refusal Letter - 30 March (04.07pm Indian Time - same day, after just 5 minutes)

What do I do? I have emailed the High Commission in New Delhi to give clarity on the application. Since I have the passport request letter, shall I send my passport to them?
I'm admitted to Royal Roads University in BC for May intake.

If anybody had such an experience or knows anyone with such experience, please share. I am tensed.

Hey, i scored 53 overall in PTE and got a unconditional offer letter from centennial college for september intake under SPP/PTE. and now, i have completed all the required procedures for canada student visa including tuition fee payment and GIC and applied online on 15th may 2017. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO WORRY ABOUT ? I REALL DON’T KNOW WHEATHER IRCC NEW DELHI OFFICE WOULD APPROVE MY STUDENT VISA OR NOT (FINGER CROSSED).

Guys I have 56 ℅ in my graduation ( b.sc mathematics), 83% in plus 2 and 82% in 10. so what is the chances for getting Visa for relevant PG DIPLOMA in Canada, if I meet all other visa requirements?

what was the email id you sent an email to i received a refusal email in dec 2016 then i applied july 2016 and they refused for same reason Other reasons: Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of one or more of: your qualifications, previous studies, missing marksheets, employment, level of establishment, language abilities, or your future prospects and plans.
but i submitted all my documents and changed my in light with my background qualification and submitted which is fashion but they still refused. I received the refusal email but with my tracking id still shows under process. when would i receive my passport im confused and also plz share the email id so i could send them an email plzzzz

I applied on 7th of July 2017 and then I link my application to the online application on 4th of August I saw that there was written that we regret to inform you that you do not meet the Eligibility requirement see the final decision below but in the final decision box it was empty there was no correspondence letter found in correspondence box and my passport has not been dispatched till now I am very nervous and don't know what to do about it I wrote many times to Delhi Embassy but they didn't revert me back please help me

You should call VFS on helpline number i guess coz even i applied on the 5th of July and got refusal on 10 aug (paper based application but my Tracking number still shows under Process
