Hi Shijin30,
Are they going to return your passport using the US first class mail as well? I don't think it is safe for a passport.

@ch2012,

Yes they do.
In the PPR letter they write....

The Consulate will send all mail to addresses in Canada via regular mail (U.S. Postal Service First Class Mail) only.
We will not use registered mail, certified mail, Canadian postage coupons or Canadian Xpresspost envelopes.
The Consulate is not responsible for any items lost in the mail.

@mohi123,

A little bit of looking, that helps. ;D
On page 118, the forum member wrote.

"...At the end of April, 2012, my file has been transferred to Detroit......."

Ah, that means you were able to bypass Ottawa. Well, I guess the rest of us are stuck with Ottawa. Still, congratulations again!

I am just guessing. My last GCMS dated end of June didn't say anything about Ottawa, but did say my group was pr - final review.

What are you guessing? What is your ecas status? What about eligiblity in GCMS?

Dear Friends,

I appreciate the way you all are exchanging updates on respective applications and sharing valuable information.

My ecas status is as under:

We received your application for permanent residence on May 15, 2012.
We started processing your application on August 7, 2012.

When can I expect my medicals, prpf fees and passport request from the VO. As per my understanding within one week of the date of processing start date they use to send request for these details on email and for medicals submit timeline is 45 days.

Regards,

Sorry, I meant to say that I am guessing that my file is in Ottawa. No official confirm received. Eligibility has passed and it went into process on the same day as eligibility passed which was in mid-late May. Since then, nothing!

Exact same thing as mine and so did my GCMS said PR Final Review. Contacted GCMS or MP? I wonder how long it will take for ottawa once they receive our files.
