We started processing your application on July 13, 2012.

Did you receive an email when your file was transferred to Seattle?

I finally got my PPR today.

they asked for job letter, T4 2011, 2 photos

One more thing they asked for: A copy of the long-form birth certificate (listing parents' names) for yourself and your spouse

any ideas about this Long-form birth certificate?

Thx and hope all of you get your PPR soon.

Thanks for the info WNIBC..

questions for you : did they say you can send in your passport in person? it didn't mention anything about drop in person in my PPR Letter.

Unfortunately my GCMS notes were generated 2 weeks before the In Process date so they don't have much information in there.

Interestingly, my file was transferred to Ottawa on May 16, 2012 however I never received any email or any notification regarding that. It seems Ottawa is taking about 2 months before they start looking into your file.

When are you getting your GCMS Notes? It would be a good idea to see your next due date, once you have to IN PROCESS. Also, it would give everyone an idea how long Ottawa is taking since the time they receive our file?

Shaaru, Does CIC commit to the due dates mentioned on the GCMS notes? For me, it is 29-Aug under the Eligibility Section and RCMP screening validity is until 30-Aug. Does 'No reportable trace' under RCMP screening mean itz all good, or does it mean they are still trying to find a trace...lol..
Also, my medicals are expiring on 23-Sep. If it expires, do we have to do it again?

No reportable trace, is just a name check and if they find something they would have already asked you for fingerprint check. I believe if your medical exam was done last year, they can actually extend the validity of your visa by 3 months. 15 months from medical exam should be there but then again it depends upon the Visa Officer!

They have not written it.
But I've seen on the website from the Visa Office Seattle that it is no longer possible to do it in person.

Congrats dude. Delighted for you.

How come they asked for t4 I wonder?

I got my PPR on July 31st, 2012 from Detroit. I already sent my passport last week.

I am a May, 2011 applicant.

I did my Medical exam on Sept, 23rd, 2011.

At the end of April, 2012, my file has been transferred to Detroit. And on July, 31st. Detroit notified me to send my passport. Finally, 15months of waiting...

But I am still very happy. :)

I think Detroit is comparetively fast. Hope all of you good luck and get you PPR very soon.

hi cece205.

many congrats!! time to celebrate.

can you share your ecas status please? When did it become In Process for you?

Also did you get any notifciation from CPP-Ottawa that your file has been transferred to Detroit.

Hi Suduko,

Thank you.

My ecas actually stays for a long time with two lines "We received your application..., Medical results have been received." until July when I checked my ecas one day, it showed another line says" We start processing your file on July 10th..."

Actually Detroit didn't sent me any email about the transfer (sorry about the confusion). My file was originally staying in Buffalo so I sent inquiry email to Buffalo at the begining of May 2012 about my application. The second day I got replied said that my file has been transferred to Detroit at the end of April. And they said I do not inquiry until after 90 days of the transfer so I didn't sent any inquiries after that.

Hope this help.
