Hi everyone,

Since buffalo consulate is closed already, now we can't make the online enquiry to them anymore.
Have anyone here whose e-cas status is still "application received" try contacting the Ottawa VO to find out their case status?

Only those applications currently in process in Buffalo will be transferred to the Case Processing Pilot Office – Ottawa. I don't know what are they gonna do with those that are received in March/April/May but not in process yet.

Any input is welcome~thanks!

R u sure that IN PROCESS here means e cas stating in process.. Not files being processed in buffalo??

Hi sim24, yea, that is possible as well. Maybe they mean all applications that were recieved in buffalo.
 
For all the people whose files have been transferred, did you get an email from Buffalo that your files have been transferred? If so, then we will not be getting an email for a file transfer as Buffalo is closed. The In Process might be that the files have already been transferred and the consulate might have already started working on our files... Dont know which consulate though!

It says for PR its only Ottawa - all other offices are for other permits.. What about applicants at LA, Seattle etc?

I jus got an email today from LA that my file is in queue for review.. Doesnt that mean final review..??? I dn wanna get transferred to ottawa now.. !!! N ur right sharru other offices r for permits only..??


Or we shud say ottawa= buffalo and it can send files anywhr on order for em to get finalized .. But nobody is allowed to apply anywhr else buh ottawa.. Same way it use to be Buffalo before and then it use to send away files!!

I think the files that are already in other VO will be remained at those offices but new applications will not be sent over there. You are safe sim, your file will not be transferred. I dont know where my file is. It looks like now there will only be one visa office for PR, Ottawa. imagine that. No other visa office, with the forms being automated its going to get quicker but with just one visa office?

I do think its a final review. The VO will look at your file one last time and then you should be good. I think ECAS would change to In process for you...

Thanks for kind words sharru.. Much appreciated and I think u shud email ottawa and try n find out whr ur file is as u r at 15 th month mark..!! U hav nothin to loose buh atleast you will know what they hv to say and if ur file is wid em or no!! Wt u say??

I have emailed them, hopefully they respond! Seems like another 3-4 month wait, I wish i get the PPR in 2012!!!

My passport was received by Detroit on May 25th. Can you please let me know once your status changes to "Decision Made"?
