I would say applying without a rep. is alot better..coz I did THE MISTAKE of applying through one..as you dont have access to your file, buffalo won't disclose any info to the applicant, can not ask for status update, can not order GCMS..SUCKS in one word..

Hey saka..I hope your trip is going great..nd as usual no updates..seems like nothing is happening at buffalo..

I see people say that i applied before this person and how come he got his PPR before me, they are not following the first come first serve. Well, first come first serve means your file moves in a queue before that person but does not ensure you will get your PPR first. Lets say I filed my Application in March and someone in April and i get my AOR in Sept and the other person in October. Usually bring forward date is 3 months, so my BF Date wold be December and his January. If all my checks are not completed I would be given another BF Date but if his checks are done he will get PPR. So, even though my turn did come before him he got PPR first...

I know its tough but it will all be worth it in the end :)

I have seen it being 3 months apart and also 2 months.. When you get your MR it says to complete it within 60 days for any uncecessary delays, that means the next BF Date is after 60 days. But, when the VO next views and sees no crim check its upto him how long does he think it will take the checks to come in. In sicilian's case, he got PPR in 5 months from AOR, so he would have gotten a bf date after 2 months, but then VO would have seen something missing and given another BF Date mostly 3 months, and then that was it and he got PPR, 2 months then 3 months = 5 months from AOR = PPR!

Well, 3 months from november is feb, so you could very well be expecting within the next few weeks. This is my understanding and could be wrong though.

Why dont your order GCMS?

I think you can order GCMS even if you have a representative. I think you should contact the GCMS people to confirm this.

There are two things to consider here, is it because Buffalo is backlogged thats why our cases are not moving forward or are actually security checks taking that much time. If its the backlog ottawa would have helped but if the security checks are taking time then our cases would have gone the pace.
