we have exactly same timeline, I have nothing neither....

My application reached on November 30, 2011 at Buffalo embassy. Bank Draft cashed on 25 January 2012. Till to date no response, nothing on E-CAS too. I don't know whats is happening with my file. God please look at me ???.

Congrats and thanks for the update!!! You case is really fast! Do you mind me asking if you are American? I know they are usually easy on the Americans or people with the skills in demand.

Yes I am American. I had kind of figured going into this process that my case might move slightly faster since I do have the advantage of being from the US. Ideally I would hope that I am not getting special treatment due to my nationality, but it does appear that CIC has some sort of "risk" level associated with various countries (which I dont think is fair, it should be based on individual cases in my opinion).

I am actually doubly lucky because my profession is one of a select few that falls under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) meaning I never needed to obtain an LMO when I got my work permit. I am really grateful that I have been so lucky.

With all that said, I wish everyone here the best of luck and I am sure we will all make it through! From what I have been seeing, the November applicants all appear to be pretty close to receiving PPR

Hey hanyin2012,

Have you attempted to contact Buffalo? Is there a particular reason you want to withdraw (other than pure frustration)? I would say that if your draft was cashed, then your file is definitely in someone's hand.

The November applicants have been caught in a tough spot because we are the last group to apply directly to Buffalo and I think it has taken longer to get our applications moving. It is also important to remember that while there have been a bunch of applicants who have received PR in just a few months, this is not the norm. Buffalo's website states that it will take 15 months for applications to be finalized. I know it sucks to wait so much, but I would encourage you to hang in there!

Of course you might have other reasons for withdrawing, but if it is only because you are frustrated I would say to wait because I bet you will hear something soon!

thank you so much for your message, my draft was cashed like 4 months ago.

Two reasons bore me.

1. I want to change me job, from an admin sectary to industry electrician, you know, these two occupation's salary standard, and my new employer is not able to sponsor my pnp application; besides, these two occupations has no connection, it is hard for me to proof I can contribute to BC at this position.

2. I plan to get married, BC pnp website shows family members of 2 units need $25,364, which is under my annual income, but that figure is for 2010, new LICO from CIC website shows, it requires $28,182 for 2 people. I only have $26000 per year before tax, mine is not enough if I married. My situation is I could not go back to China, and my fiancee could not come here. Because I do not have my annual break any more. and it is hard for my fiancee to get visa come to Canada.

So, I am stuck here. If I have to wait so long like 15 months, I will be definitely crazy during this long long waiting.

Hanying, did you try to contact Buffalo? To put things into perspective, 15 months is not such a long waiting time compared to some other PR categories...I have been living in BC for almost 5 years, and now I am just on my way to becoming a PR... I would say you just hang in there, at least wait for the initial 30 weeks to find out what had happened to your file. Once you become a PR, I think it would be much easier for your fiance to come to Canada.

Meanwhile, you can find something to distract yourself, once you get your PR, most likely in only a year, you can work for whomever you want.

I would recommend you too wait, remember we have same time line. In mean time, try to get paper marriage done (legally-court marriage). Once you have marriage certificate in hand, inform BC PNP regarding change of your status from "Single" to "Married". By this way your fiance (wife on paper) would also come under BC PNP. Once your file opens, inform Buffalo regarding this change. Your fiance and you would get PR almost same time. By this your marriage and family life will start in more planned way. You wont have to worry after marriage to bring her to this land.

Plus you have already invested the time and money to put together the application and you will not get a full refund if you withdraw.

kunal09, I was under the impression that if your marital status changed while your file was being processed that it would result in CIC sending your file back and asking you to reapply with your new spouse, which would result in having to start this whole process over again. Just something you might want to keep in mind.

That makes sense. I guess it would only matter if you then wanted to add your spouse to your application.

What I read from this canadianvisa.com website is, if you are married and you did not declare your spouse till your application is approved then whole procedure starts again...
