Application Questions

I'm in the midst of filling out the application. I'm qualified for and applying under the Canadian Experience Class. I have some questions about some of the boxes which I'm hoping to get some assistance with.

Right off the bat I wasn't sure. As a quick background, I have been working in Canada the past 4yrs in the social assistance field.

OK so here's what I'm not sure of.


Application Details:
Box 1: Program under which you are applying {Not sure is my answer Economic}
Box 2: Category under which you are applying - {this should be Canadian Experience Class}
Box 4: Immigration Office requested for processing this application {Not sure Answer I've been in Canada 4yrs, is it that, or home Lithuania.}


Educational Details:
Box 2: Number of years in Education {IS this just for the highest level of Education as I have a Master's that took 4yrs, and Bachelors degree that took 2yrs. I assume its just post secondary yrs as well.}



Supplemental Details:
Lastly just a question with regards to these. I have been in Canada for 4yrs so am I to list the trips taken from Canada in last 4yrs, or is it just the trips taken from home country of Lithuania so everything in last gour yrs how is it bundled?

Box 1 = economic
Box 2 = Canadian Experience Class
Box 3 = CPP-Ottawa(if you will be staying in Canada while your application is processed). But if you plan to return to Lithuania to wait, it's better to choose a Canadian visa office in Lithuania.

The number of years of education is the total number of years of formal education - so total from elementary, secondary/high school, university/college, vocational/trades.

Travel - you are to list all trips taken by you or your family members from Canada to other countries, your home country to other countries in the last 10 years or since your 18th birthday(if this was less than 10 years ago).

Note that family members include spouse, common-law partner, dependant children and children of dependant children.

One last quick question with regards to education. It took me 6yrs for a 4yr Masters, as I took 2yrs off to work to pay the bills. I just record 4yrs even though start/finish will report 6?

Should I do medical and just include in the package bein sent or do I wait a couple months then do but have ready for when they request it?

Lastly the Representation Form - Is this just for LEGAL related professionals? My boyfriend has helped me alot and I would like him to be able to help me through the process where needed, would I declare him on this form and checkoff family or friend?

Yes, just 4 yrs(the 2 yrs off was for work that was not part of your study program, so you can not count it). Your transcripts will show that in more detail.

You do not have to do medicals before sending the application. You can do it once your visa office requests for the medical results. There is nothing that stops you from doing an advance medical though.

I believe family members can represent you as unpaid representatives. Below information is from the CIC website. You can double check with the CIC helpdesk as well.

Unpaid third parties, such as family members, friends, non-governmental or religious organizations will still be allowed to act on your behalf."

Thanks, so in the date fields do I just put when I got my first work permit and when my current one expires?
