Hi, this is probably a really stupid question but need the answer. My Canadian boyfriend is sponsoring me. I'm Irish so I want to send the application to the UK because the process it quicker. My boyfriend will be in Canada so is it ok for it to be sent to the UK or does it need to be done in Canada because he's Canadian and in Canada?

If you are applying for PR and intend to stay in Ireland while you wait for your application to be processed, you would apply through the UK office.

Yes, I am applying for PR. I intend to visit Canada for a few months while we wait on the visa.

Do you intend to get married before applying for PR? Many people don't qualify for conjugal partnership and those who do often have to wait a long time because it's hard to verify.

No we're not getting married. We're applying for common law. Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long.
