Hi,
I received perminent resident application for my parents this month and during this process my father was diagnosed with mouth cancer.He is currently going thorugh treatments.
So for the question of application "Background declaration" Q6. have you or your family any serious illness. What would be the best answer for this question according to situation.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear about your Father's health situation.

For q6 you would need to say yes and briefly describe the situation in the box provided, However, unless you are completing the form as an update to am application submitted before Nov 5 2011, CiC has put a temporary hold on parent and grandparent applications and has instituted a super visa that has its own application.

"Parent and Grandparent Super Visa:

Note: As of December 1, 2011, you may be eligible to apply for the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa and enjoy visits to Canada of up to two years.

As of November 5, 2011, no new applications to sponsor parents or grandparents will be accepted for processing for up to 24 months."

But i am confused this is not a new application this is my 2nd step additional document reqiurement
application.So I have to send it right or no
