I was wondering the same thing. My applications was received in Mississauga March 23rd, 2012 and I have yet to receive anything from them. It seems as though the time keeps getting longer and longer and the only hope I have is when they change the date that they working on which is now Feb 15th now..

Would love to know if anyone else is getting stressed like me!

Everyone else is stressed like you! Do you read the March thread? They're getting approvals!

The funny thing is that my application was received in March. March 23rd to be exact.. I pray that I may be one of those lucky ones but nothing as of yet. *fingers crossed*

I just checked CIC and they updated as of May 30,2012

They say they are working on applications on February 15, 2012 and 90 days for processing. This adds up to 105 days to me. I dont know if this is really a good barometer since some people are getting approval in March already. Good luck to all.

Mexico sent out an email to a forum member and it said the average time is 6 months. According to CIC, 20% finish in 5 months. They do the biggest number - how long it takes 80% to finish which is 13 months.

Great thank you for this!!

yEP, everyone is stressed with the processing times. You're not alone! March applicants are getting approvals. I applied in may, so maybe by august. Keep yourselves busy so you dont have to count the 90 days. hehe :)

To give you an idea, I recieved sponsor approval yesterday and originally submitted at beginning of March. They are getting quicker though! Hang in there!

Congratulations on your approval.....many of us are over 100 days and still waiting....so I don't think Mississauga is actually getting quicker....you may have been a lucky one that got sent to Ottawa for processing....

Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the right topic to post, but I thought this info might interest those of you, who are applying for PR inside of Canada (Spouse, common-law partner in Canada). In March 2012 I noticed that CIC stopped updating their processing times for this type of applications and I got really anxious when months passed by without one single update (it's been 3 months while they should have updated them on a weekly basis). They still haven't made a single change and I think many of you wonder if they really, really slowed down the process or their website is not being updated properly. The answer is- the data on their website is not up-to-date.

I applied on July 21st, 2011 and received the Approval in Principle on May 31st, 2012. Which means the initial assessment (Step 1) takes currently around 10 months for those who applied for Family Sponsorship (Spouse, common-law partner) INSIDE of Canada .
