Application processing during christmas holidays

Hello people, Could anyone guide me regarding the application processing by Immigration office during or before Christmas holidays. I am concerned as I have to leave my current job and plan accordingly.
Does the process slows down or is it halted completely if anyone could help in this regard.

if anyone has experience with regards to this please share. My employer has applied for GSS Work permit and the two weeks time has passed yet there is no response. Should I expect response after new year or what?

I really just need a direction here.

I'm in the same boat. I applied for the GSS work permit on December 6th. I got the biometrics taken on December 9th. I had to upload the passport again on December 16th. No updates after that.

Did you have to upload your passport to your online application or did you have to send your application to their visa office for a stamp?

I applied SOWP on dec 2
biometrics done on dec 6
medical passed and review started on dec 20
got ghost update on dec 24
still no update

I uploaded the passport to the online application again. The work permit has not been approved yet.
