So Im not sure if Im in the right place for this.

I received an email today from cic stating my application has been processed and to expect a call from the Montreal office for an appointment.

I am in Canada (obviously lol)

When should i expect a call? What do i take with me? What do they do at these appointments?

It mentions that they make the final decision there.

Im super nervous thinking what if Im rejected? I have a baby who is Canadian they surely came expect me yo leave my family?

You have received a DM email. You are almost done. Only thing left is to wait for a letter from CIC montreal by snail mail for a landing appointment. The letter will give you instructions on what to do, what to bring at your landing appointment. You can bring your children to the landing office you like. We brought our children with us at landing with no issues.

What happens at the appointment usually?

Thank you for your help.
Your spouse must be with you at landing as well. Usually they will ask you 3 typical questions that has already been answered in application. Usually 1. Have you been convicted in Canada, 2. Have you been denied entry to Canada 3. Do you have any other dependents not listed in application.

When you answered no to all, they will ask you to sign the COPR paper where questions asked and sign at bottom. Then you are done. You become PR. Make sure they ask for your address. This is for them to send you your PR card in the mail.

Some offices will allow you to get SIN after landing, other offices won't give you SIN until you get PR card.

Ok still a little confused.

When I needed my medical I called immigration to tell them that I was pregnant and got a deferred form from the Dr for the xray. Basically immigration didn't care that I was pregnant and was told I didn't need to tell them.

On my application I wasn't pregnant when I started. Does the dependants only matter if they are not Canadian? Should I tell cic about my son even though when I called before while pregnant they told me not to bother.

So confused... possibly lack of sleep.

so you have given birth to a son since you applied? If so congratulations! Is your son in Canada with you? If born in Canada I think he is already Canadian. I think you will have to declare him as a dependent not previously declared. But I am not very knowledgeable.

i was in the same situation, if your in canada and gave birth in canada, than yes technically doesnt make a difference to them if you declare or not, i would prefer you send them an email , the CIC rep told me that it might help your case to tell the officers that you need to be reunited asap , other than that yeah the dont care much , if your child was born in lebanon that thats a totally different situation as that will change the dependent info for your husband and that would make ur application go slower,,,,,, so were lucky we gave birth in canada :) good luck
