Hi everybody.....I have my file with Consulate General of Canada in Sydney under family sponsorship....its been 4 months....i didnt heard anything from them....even wrote twice about it, still no replies and they take inquires about VISA only through email for which they suppose to reply back in five day......Is sydney consulate effected by PAFSO strike??? Will it be okay if I go to Canada on visitor visa and later send my Passport via courier to sydney when asked??

They probably won't reply if asked about processing time as the posted time is 11 months. Yes, you can send the passport by courier to Sydney, whether they will return it outside their processing area is another question. Most offices won't.ggss said:
Thank you PMM...it's good to know that passport can be send to sydney, Australia from Canada via mail, I was not sure before as heard numerous rumour that it is illegal to do so . Now instead of waiting on my PP call I can apply for my visitor visa and be there before SNOW
