Hi,

I have a problem with this document (IEC Young Professionals category). As my current country of residence is not the same as a country where I'm applying, under question 9 (Country where applying) I have to enter Name of the country, Status in that country, From and to Dates for that status. The problem is that I'm a citizen of that country and I don't know what to enter in From and To dates. I presume that in From date I should enter date of my birth (although technically I didn't became citizen on that date but several days later) but I don't know what to enter for To date. I can't leave that date empty because of validation and validation requires to enter date later than today. Does anybody have any idea what to enter?

Instructions for that question from CIC site are as follows

Check the box to indicate if you are applying from your current country of residence.

If you checked ‘‘No’’, select the appropriate information from the list to indicate:
  • The name of the country where you are applying from,
  • Your immigration status in that country by choosing one of the following:
  • Citizen
  • Permanent resident
  • Visitor
  • Worker
  • Student
  • Other
  • Protected Person
  • Refugee Claimant
  • Other: This section must be completed if you selected ‘‘Other’’ as a status,
  • The dates (From – To) that you have been living in that country.

Where is your location now?

Hi, I have same problem. Do anybody know how to fill it in?
I live in Netherlands, so under country of residency I write Netherlands, status worker, from and to. But then I have to fill in country where applying. I write Czech Republic, status citizen and then they want to know from - to. Any suggestion which date to write there?

Thanks
