Application for PRTD from India

Hi All,

I received my PR in November 2021 and still have not received my PR card yet. I am travelling to India this week and will be returning back on March 23rd. I know I have to apply for PRTD but I can see there is a obligation that says:

• you must show that you will be able to meet the minimum of 730 days of physical presence in Canada within five (5) years of the date you became a permanent resident.

How do i prove that? Also, does anyone know how long does it take to get PRTD in India.

if you have a valid PR card you do not need a PRTD. you can either wait for your PR card or travel back and once your card is delivered to your address you can have some one to send it to you by couriers.

on March 23 you still have four years so you can definitely meet the residency obligation.

Can someone bring my card to India if it is delivered here in Canada while I am in India?
