Hi all,
To make things a little easier, I have decided to fill out the application form for the PR card in advance. However, I am unsure of a few of the questions on the form.
2. Date you became a permanent resident of Canada: this is the date of landing, correct??
19. Address History: we will live with my parents for the first month or so until we have sorted out our housing. I have put this address down for this question...BUT...we are only landing and staying in Canada for a week, then returning to China for about 6 months to wrap everything up and finalize all our moving arrangements. Should I also include our address in China? If I do include our temporary Chinese address, will this cause any problems for issuing the PR card??
21. Travel History: as we will only be staying in Canada for a week after completing the landing formalities, should I fill this out showing that we will return to China to complete our moving arrangements? We'll be back in China for about 6 months, so how do I complete this, that is, do I show the date we will leave Canada and the date when we will return to Canada permanently (e.g. 2013/02 depart Canada - 2013/07 return to Canada permanently)??
I am a bit concerned with 19. and 21. Would this be grounds for misrepresentation on our original application? I mean, we do plan to return to Canada to live permanently, but there are things that we need to do in China before we can leave. I know that a lot of people land, then go home to wrap things up, but how do you answer questions 19. and 21. without causing a problem with the PR card.
Also, I noticed that my wife is wearing a bobby pin in the picture she took for the visa (which is affixed to her COPR). Is that something that could cause a problem for issuing the PR card? Should she take new pictures without anything in her hair and submit to the officer at the airport in Vancouver?
Thanks for any help!
