You would have seen an option only to update the new passport correct? In which case the previous US passport linked to the oci is not valid anymore..and when the us passport expires and you get a new one you will need to overwrite the Canadian passport on the oci website.

Went to BLS Brampton today, there was a long line for walkins. I had a appointment and was in and out in about 7 minutes. The lady who I was assigned to did take the surrender cert which was expected. Other than that it was a breeze. The security guard stationed there does have a thankless job...

How many days before appointment is it best to fill the OCI form and take printout because I read that once its accepted no changes can be done, and bls can ask to make changes / photo upload etc.

Hello Stumped again , while filling the OCI FORM in part B- Has any member of your family applied earlier for OCI ( My son already has a oci from usa ) it asls for file ref # and also date when applied...not sure how one remembers the date of a old application, I only have the oci issuance date !!

Yes, that is where it says certificate is under review

Also had applied with no canadian passport, not sure if that is the reason why it is stuck.

Postal application sent to BLS on the 10th and delivered 02/13. was sent by them to the consulate on the 16th and been under review status since then.

As far as I understand, only the oci can really help with that. other than that you will not have any other visa/work auth specifically.
