Hello,

I have downloaded the form IMM5710E "Application to Change Conditions, Extend My Stay or Remain in Canada as a Worker". I have read from the postings in this forum that this application can be sent along with the Spousal Sponsorship Application, if I am reading the postings correctly. However, I have noticed that the first item to fill in on this form is the UCI number. I thought the UCI number will be assigned after submitting the Spousal Sponsorship application. So how is it possible that we can apply for both the Open Work Permit and Spousal Sponsorship application together?

Thank you.

Peter

I think I may have found the answer to the question that I was asking. On the CIC website "http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=772&top=4", go to "If you have not sent us an application before", it says to just fill it in as blank or N/A depending on whether or not you are using an online form.

hi you can leave it as N/A if you don't know your uci number. as for me, i entered canada as an international student therefore i know that i have a uci number and i used that one in my app. cic used the same number for my pr app. UCI stands for unique client identifier so it will be the same for all your cic applications.
