Following! My 9-year old son has autism, too.

99% chances you will get Medical clear under the policy launched in Dec 2018. Your medical process may take few months extra to be process, may be 3 to 4 months but there is nothing to worry with autism.

This is great encouragement! Have you heard of any recent positive stories after the medical admissibility changes in 2018? Any families with autistic children that were approved? Anyone, kindly share!

Hi everyone!

I’ll be following this post. My child’s medical results are currently under “ready for review” status. We had the upfront medical exam sometime in May of this year and the results were initially opened in July.

My son is under IEP- and this I guess this triggered the further review. I will be posting here if I hear more news.
You child have Mild autism ?
Let us know as soon as you have news !!

Unfortunately there is no information on the internet about CMAU processing timeline from the successful applicants.

Question is when they forward the case to CMAU
At least what I know after reviewing your file at CMAU they need to give a decision as soon as they approve/deny your medicals.

Hi Eithan,
He was not diagnosed with autism. He is under IEP in his current school due to speech and motor delays. He is having speech and occupational therapy once a week.
My file does not mention anything about CMAU. I am hoping that the new public policy would be applied in our cases.

I think we don't have anything to worry about.
Just need to wait a little longer.

Keep us updated on your case and good luck !
