Just got off form a call with IRCC agent.
Our medicals are received on June 16,
She said no agent is assigned to process our medicals.. and she can't give anymore details.
It is frustrating since last agent said my son was transferred to CMAU and now they are saying nothing...
I guess the wait will be longer with all the things going on....Covid19.
Hope for the best. Please keep us updated.

Hi everyone, want to ask, on my ECAS appeared medical received and Decision made, is this means we are getting closer for PR? I went through Procedural Fairness due to my leukemia and I done everything. We are still worried bec. Up to now no update or response.
Depends upon how you submit the reply of procedural farenes letter. Did you submit any plan to manage the cost of treatment by your means?

Based on my ECAS my medical have been approved. Is it means procedural fairness response approved? We are waiting the update. How long will it takes for any update after decision made?

Hi,
Any update here on medicals with Autism dependent ?

My son is 7 year old. Diagnosed with autism at age 2. We had our medical test they kept asking for detailed report from the pediatrician regarding treatment plan. Could someone help with the types of documents required. I have not seen any doctor other than pediatrician, to have detailed notes of his progress. What can be done about it.
Your help is appreciated.

Our son was diagnosed almost the same age back in our home country.
We took the diagnose and submitted to BC for autism funding and also to our pediatrician.
When we did our medicals for immigration the doctor just asked for a letter from the pediatrician.
Nothing was asked more from what we gave.

Hi Guys,
Quick update.
I talked with an agent a few days ago and nothing changed...
I did upfront medicals on June 9 and uploaded the form via webform.
Agent said "agent is not assigned to your medicals"
It's very frustrating since an agent i called 2 month ago said that our medicals was transferred to CMAU because of my son's ASD.

I don't get it why other ppl that do medicals they get results after 1-2 weeks after they submitted the form..

Nothing to worry your case is at right place for approval under the new policy announced in 2018. They are just evaluating the cost of medical for your autistic child and checking its not exceeding the limit. Its obvious that cost of medical services will definitely not exceed the threshold limit but process will take couple of months to complete. Just chill

Hi,
Any update on a PR process that has an autism child ?
I'm still waiting for my medicals to be reviewed. ( DId my medicals June, 2020 )

Hi everyone,
We'll be taking our medicals soon for our PR application and our 3 1/2 year old son might has mild high functioning autism. Before COVID we were seeing many specialists, but since the first lockdown we were not able to get a final diagnosis... In the meantime he has significantly improved on many of his autistic traits, although due to COVID we can't get an updated medical evaluation that shows these improvements (e.g. he was almost non-verbal vs now talks a lot, had barely any eye contact vs now has good eye contact, was not social with other children vs now loves to play other children etc...). I'm so nervous about getting an excessive demand letter and having our application refused. I was so relieved to find this thread! It gives me hope!! If any of you has any tips on how to approach the medical exam and overall application I would greatly appreciate it. Did you also provide a Letter of Explanation along with your application explaining the Autism, or any supporting documentation other then the medical exam? Thank you!!! Wishing you all lots of luck with your applications!

Hi,
We did our medicals and we are still waiting for the officer to review it.
Our son is 4 years old and he have high functioning autism.

We moved here when he was 2 years old and we submitted additional medical document from his pediatrician to the medical clinic for the immigration medicals.
I don't think they will refuse it since they did some kind of policy back in 2018.
I'm worried about it too sometimes but I heard different case which a child that have schizophrenia and his family got passed.
Give your kid the best help and treatments, everything else is just not worth spending your nerves..
I will update as soon as I will have something.

Hi everyone!

I’ll be following this post. My child’s medical results are currently under “ready for review” status. We had the upfront medical exam sometime in May of this year and the results were initially opened in July.

My son is under IEP- and this I guess this triggered the further review. I will be posting here if I hear more news.
