1) it literally asks for the whole 5 years inside or outside Canada. What makes you think you can skip the first 2 years while the question is very explicit?
2) list all 5 years, with no for both required to file and filed for the ones spent outside the country.

I was confused I was thinking that the eligibility period starts only from the day I landed in Canada as PR.

You can say no and use the PR date as refusal date. If there is a box to put comments you can provide details else attach a letter of explanation explaining the situation.

I had a similar question, and i was searching this forum and came across your reply to both these similar questions.
I would like to add:
There is no form or entry field (in the online form) to write reason for refusal in the Presence Calculator entry page.
Also, there is a form page to add additional info if needed, but it only accepts pics (jpeg etc) format. No word documents. It seems its meant only for scans of visas/documents etc, rather than for any Letter of Explainations.
So it seems they are not recommending that we send docs/LOE ?

Also what would be the consquence if we write Yes, to visa extension, and Yes to accepted(till date of other WP is approved), rather than 'No' as till then implied status was maintained ?

Hi Team,

I was on Work permit from 17 Mar 2020 to 10 Nov 2021 and applied for renewal on 22 Sep 2021. My PR got approved on 23 Nov 2021 and my organization told that since you became PR your renewal application will be withdrawn by IRCC automatically.

My question: I'm applying for Citizenship application online and in "Physical Presence tab" --> do i need to enter my temporary resident status as

Option#1

Temporary Resident # 17 Mar 2020 to 22 Nov 2021 and Applied for extension as "NO"

Option#2

Temporary Resident# 17 Mar 2020 to 10 Nov 2021 and choose option as applied for Extension as "YES" and Extension date as "22 Sep 2021" and approved status as "YES" and approval valid date as a day before PR valid from date.

Which option would be correct. (As per my organization it will be either withdrawan or cancelled automatically after becoming PR). Please advise.

What is the difference between.. bio page of travel doc and foreign issued govt Id like passport.
In identification..my health card is taking time to renew due to address issue..I dont drive. So can I put bio page of my passport in id1 and foreign passport again in id2.
As if I click pr card the id2 foreign govt document gets removed..

I need help with PCC. Has anyone submitted their citizen application without submitting a PCC (based on the response provided to similar questions, i.e. PR application PCC) and received an AOR? Is the PCC required if the minor has become an adult after obtaining PR and being in Canada for the last three years?
