Q9 : I guess you can only enter "To" date from the physical presence calculator in the application form. The other date is calculated automatically. Enter the same "To" date as shown in the physical presence calculator.

Q14: That's weird. You can write "N/A" in that text box.

Q18: You should be eligible to apply for citizenship on the day BEFORE you sign the citizenship application. So, if you are signing the application today, put today's date. I think it is best to sign the application one day AFTER the "To" date on the physical presence calculator.

Not sure, I think it should be okay. When I submitted the applications, there application form was in an ancient format - no validation and no bar code.
Thanks again. And for the addresses like Apt/Unit (as it isn't applicable to me), should I leave it blank or put N/A as well?

Hi All, I am currently applying my Canadian citizenship. I'm filling the form CIT0002 - Citizenship Application Form. I have a doubt regarding question # 13 Do you currently or have you ever held immigration or citizenship status in a country or territory other than Canada (this includes your country of birth)?
I have a Vistor Visa B1/B2 from USA. Do I have to mention that for question number 13? In the dropdown box of status there's an option for Visitor to be selected.. I'm not sure if I have to include the USA B1/B2 visa information or not . Could you please suggest

Good day. I just want to ask if I have to put N/A on Document checklist checkboxes that doesn't apply to me or should I just leave it uncheck? And, do I have to follow the arrangement of documents written on the checklist, like the checklist should be at the bottom? Thank you again.

Since the dropdown shows the "Visitor" option, please do include the US B1/B2 visas as well.

AFAIK, for the documents checklist, simply checking the boxes that apply to you should suffice. No need to write N/A for the boxes that don't apply.

Well, I put the checklist on the top because it made more sense and I didn't have any issues. Its up to you.

For Q11 in the form, can you please suggest how should I include the below info..
I have been employed in the same organization and have been promoted.
Joined as a Sales Executive (2017 - 2020) and promoted to Regional Sales Manager (2020 - Present). Same employer and location.
Should include Sales Executive, Regional Sales Manager in the same row or should I create different rows to indicate these two roles?
or
Should i enter Regional Sales Manager in the row and mention working in the role since 2017 - Present ?

Well, if it is the same company and there are no breaks in between, IMO, you can add one row and add your most recent title for the entire period.

I have another query...
I was employed in UAE between 17th Jan 2011 - 10th Aug 2017.
I moved to Canada as a PR on 18th Aug 2017
I found a job and started working in Canada on 28th Aug 2017 and employed in the same firm since then.

Should include the period between 11th Aug 2017 until 27th Aug 2017 as unemployed or I should not include it in the form, since the form is accepting MM/YYYY and not MM/DD/YYYY ?

You should mention that period as unemployed. You can have overlapping entries, which is fine. As long as there are no gaps, you should be good.

Hello All, I am currently filling my citizenship application form CIT0002e-2.pdf I'm about to answer question number 14, Have you ever held a travel documents/passport during you 5 year eligibility period. I held two passports during my eligibility period.
The first passport was valid from 17 Oct 2008 to 16 Oct 2018.
I got my second passport six months prior to expiry period and it's validity is from 21 Feb 2018 to 20 Feb 2028.
When I'm filling the question number 14 in my citizenship application form, it's asking for date issued and expiry date if applicable for both the passports. When my second passport was issued on 21 Feb 2018, my country passport issuing office made a note that my old passport # is cancelled on 21 Feb 2018 and new passport # is issued on 21 Feb 2018.
Do I have to put the cancellation date of 21 Feb 2018 as expiry date for first passport or should I put the actual expiry date 16 Oct 2018 on the question number 14. ?
Could you please guide on what's the right date to be put and if anyone was ever in similar situation?
Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,

I have a question while filing my application in advance (so I can wait for the application date to sign and send out). It's quite confused me to answer the question 9a in cit0002e_2 form as following:

In my physical presence calculator sheet (from online calculator), I put my application date will be on 2021-08-08 and PR since 2018-08-01, the calculator sheet showing my eligibility is 2016-08-08 to 2021-08-07.

Then in cit0002 form, at question 9a, I input "To" date as 2021-08-07 which is similar to my online physical presence calculator sheet, then my eligibility time is automatically filled up which is different with 1 day earlier from 2016-08-07 to 2021-08-07.

Which "From" date should I follow to fill up other information in my cit0002? Whether 2016-08-07 or 2016-08-08?

Thank you for your advice in this case.

IMHO, it should be the expiry date mentioned on your passport
