Wow Thank you! This will make our lives and the agents lives easier. I will have to redo the applications again! Maybe rajkamalmohanram can mention this somewhere on his main post?

PART - 4

.........................
  • You MUST submit TWO PIECES OF PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION.
  • You can use any of the following documents as personal identification.
    • a copy of the biographical page of your passport/travel document
    • health insurance card
    • driver’s licence
    • senior citizen identification card
    • age of majority card
    • foreign identity documents, such as a passport or government issued identification documents
  • From what I understand, the most common pieces of identification would be your driver's license and health card.
  • NOTE 1: You CANNOT SUBMIT PR CARD AS AN IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENT.
  • NOTE 2: If there is information on both sides of your ID, PRINT BOTH SIDES OF THE ID.

UPDATE : You can now use PR card as one of the ID documents for your citizenship application!

photocopies of two (2) pieces of personal identification.

Examples of identification you can use include:

  • a copy of the biographical page of your passport/travel document (as requested above and also can be one (1) of your pieces of personal identification)
  • permanent resident card (PR card)
  • driver’s licence
  • health insurance card
  • senior citizen identification card
  • age of majority card
  • foreign identity documents, such as a passport or government issued identification documents

PR card is a new addition to this list. It wasn't there before. In fact, it was explicitly mentioned that you can't use your PR card but now, they are permitting it.

This is just a suggestion, but if possible, are you able to edit your original posts? I appreciate your effort in writing this guide and your many contributions to this forum!

I wish I could but I can't edit any posts that are older than a specific time. I guess that time is 24 hours (or could be 48 hours). The original post was written in May last year.

Hi guys. How long does it take to receive an AOR these days? Do they send it by email or by post (for paper-based applications)? Thank you in advance!

This new form seems to have many glitches. When inputing dates, it says my format is wrong eventhough I am using the YYYY-MM-DD format.

Exactly, I see several issues while filling the form! I'm not sure whether it's due to my Acrobat Reader being outdated, or something else!

Hi,
I really appreciate your help in advance rajkamalmohanram.
I studied at university for two yrs. However, I had three trips to my home country as vacations during the new-year holidays and summer break over that 2 yrs. Do I need to mention those vacations(trips) in Work/Educational history?

Please do not put the date Manually just select it from the Calendar, it should work, Even though i sent my application , i just tried to see how it works and got the Bar code. so it should work if you use the Calendar to select the date. Hope this Helps

I tried this too, but it still would not validate. Now when I try to print, there is a red box around the dates.

I'm not sure what you mean by work/educational history in a citizenship application but if you are referring to Q11 (personal history), then I don't think you need to include them there if they were just vacations.

I have downloaded a new form to start all over. For the Eligibility period, when I input the To date as directed, I get a notification that my To date should be greater than the From date (remember that the From date is filled automatically). This is the same notification I get for all the places I need to input a To and From date. Please note that I followed your direction not to type in the numbers but to use the calendar on the form.
I have checked and all my To dates are after the From date and I have do not have any gaps.
I also still get the notification to use the format YYYY-MM-DD (eventhough the date automatically appears like that when I use the form calendar).
At this point, I am not sure what to think again.
Is it ok for me to download the form and fill by hand (with a pen)?

I was able to fill out the form correctly. Try filling everything in order. When you get to the eligibility period, click on the arrow, then press down (I found that on macOS that's how I get the form calendar to show up).
I would advise against filling it by hand since this form generates barcodes that help IRCC scan your application more efficiently.

I had been using my work laptop all this while, so I guess there are some kinds of restrictions I dont know about. However, when I switched to my personal laptop, I was able to validate without any issues. Thanks a lot for patiently replying to my posts @alex the king and @engray
