If you have degree or diploma either from Canada or Overseas, it will be acceptable as a language requirement provided that you can proof that you studied through the medium of English for example a letter from the institute specially if you studied from an overseas institute.
I am currently enrolled in a part time masters program at a university so I'm planning to submit my transcript and just to be safe also attach my expired ielts general that I had used when I applied for PR. Hopefully it works.

Expired ielts general is 100% acceptable.
Good luck

Hey Everyone,

Can someone please help me understand for which all countries I would require a PCC, below is my case:

- Landed in Canada as a PR on March 23rd 2018

- Was in Poland from November 2017 to Mar 2018

- Was staying in India from Dec 2015 to Nov 2016

- Was in Finland from Feb 2014 to Dec 2015

- I should be eligible to apply for citizenship around June 2021(considering vacations outside Canada)

I think I might need PCC from Poland and India but not sure.

Could someone guide please.

Thanks

Can you
Hi All, just an informative message. I had posted on here that I had mistakenly submitted my academic IELTS with my citizenship application in August. I submitted a case-specific inquiry twice with my correct documents submitted, once in September and again this month and both times I got a response that my information was verified but as my application was not in the system so it could not be forwarded to the correct department. And to resubmit them when my application is being processed and they will forward it to the correct department. Unfortunately, my application was returned incomplete yesterday to me. Attached to it was a letter stating it was returned incomplete due to language evidence being not acceptable due to it not being in the list of acceptable evidence. They said if I choose to request a refund of the fees paid then an Annex A page was also attached. I am choosing to resubmit my application obviously with the correct paperwork by tomorrow. Unfortunately, it will push back my process so much further but I guess can't be helped.
Can you confirm what date was your application received and stamped at IRCC ?

Also, what date was printed on the letter attached with your application stating that you provided wrong evidence of English language ?

Q10 (a): Please list all addresses inside and outside of Canada during your entire five (5) year eligibility period. Start with the most recent. If there are any missing days or periods of time, your application will be returned to you.
What if I were traveling the world for 1 month, between settling in Canada, and leaving my home country?
I literally had no address...

Did you have an address during that period where you considered home and received your mail...etc?
No, we checked out our rental at home country, sold everything we didnt ship, and shipped 15 packages to a friend in the Canadian destination city.
During our travel, 2 weeks we spent traveling in Iceland in a Jeep, where we'd camp sometimes.. no hotel address even! And some cold nights were spontaneous night over stops, I don't remember all of them, much less what night each was.

I did mail forwarding to my mother's address, to get official letters etc., We really had no address for over a month! We never stayed at one place for over 6 days lol.. was a blast though :)

This is great information and very handy! I had a quick question , I keep seeing this sentence and I am confused, perhaps I am not reading it right lol

  • Also, very important - You should be eligible for citizenship on the day BEFORE you sign and date your application.

I am submitting my application November 1st as my eligibility period is from OCT 30 2015 - OCT 30 2020. Am I still okay to sign the application this friday and then mail it out by courier on saturday the 1st?

I actually think you need it for India and Finland. It is any country you were in for 183 days in a row. Poland looks like it was 5 months. India & Finland you stay seemed longer than 6 months if I am calculating correctly.

Kindly check & Guide my scenario, I landed in June-2013 , went back to home country after 6 months stay their at home country for almost 2 years then come back and complete total residency obligation of 2 years, Then renew my PR and then just now about to complete 3 years in row for citizenship. doing a job and tax submitted. Do i need to mention my last 3 years stay or else fill all complete 6 to 7 years detail when apply for citizenship. please guide
When you complete the Prescence Calculator it will give you the time period you need to report on in terms of what you did and where you were, it is usually a 5 year time period.

This sentence means you cannot sign your application just with 1095 days because on the day before you sign your application in this case you will have 1094 days and were not eligible. I may be wrong tho...

Maybe if you moved out of your rental apartment, "moved" to your mother's address to be your residence while you travelled at the same time during that period on your trip
