I'm currently working under OPT, holding an F-1 visa, in the United States. I graduated with undergraduate degree last December. I already accepted an offer of a fully-funded master program in Canada and plan to finish my graduate school in Canada. I applied for the study permit by the end of last month but I got a refusal letter today. The reasons for refusal including the immigration status in country of residence and purpose of visit. I just want to know what these refusal reasons imply.
However, they actually remind me that I didn't provide any immigration documents or study plan in my application. Is this the main reason they rejected my application? Will providing these documents improve my change of getting my study permit application approved?
As an international student in the United States, should I apply for the study permit online or from a Canada Visa Application Center in the United States? Or should I return to my home country and apply for the study permit there?
