Application Fee Through BANK DRAFT - United Arab Emirates

Dear All!

Blessed day to everyone. I'm new in this site. I was trying if somebody can help me here and hoping I could receive a positive response from any person who knows exactly what I'm going through now. Yesterday, 28th Dec., I went to most of the banks here in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE to purchase a bank draft for my application fee for work permit to be submitted to Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. I am almost complete with all necessary documents, aside from this bank draft. All the banks i went through refuse to issue, unless i have account with them in Canadian Dollars, or in UAE Dirhams atleast minimum balance of 5000.00/aed. It's a lot of money they are asking just to make a 150/Canadian Dollars only. My salary is only 1500/aed monthly. I can't produce the amount they are asking to open an account. Another bank also saying they stop issuing bank draft to THE RECEIVABLE GENERAL OF CANADA, as it caused problems. I don't know what problem the bank is saying.

Please anybody can suggest or advice me on this matter? Your opinion will really be appreciated.

kabayan,better go to any branch of al fardan exchange....there theyre issuing a bank draft,....when i was in al ain,uae,...we have the same story,but it was only al fardan exchange....see u soon here in canada,,...im just 2 months here.direct from al ain,

go to Al Fardan Exchange. They are issuing the draft.

Thanks for the suggestion. Hope this Al Fardan Exchange will issue bank draft for me. I will try. I'll pray it will work out coz i really had a hard time for this application fee and most of all I don't have money to open new account. I already try UAE EXCHANGE, AL ANSARI AND MOST OF THE BANKS IN DUBAI AND RAS AL KHAIMAH, All of them refused.

Kabayan can i ask you in which branch of Al Fardan Exchange you purchase a bank draft? Or I can go in any branch? I'm afraid some tellers doesn't know the bank draft so much better I'll go with the branch where you got yours.
Pareho lang po ba ang bank draft at demand draft? usually po kasi mga teller nag ask if am i referring to bank draft.

Hi Kabayan,

Demand Draft & bank Draft / draft cheque are the same, just go to any Al Fardan branches in RAK or if they dont have go to Sharjah Al Fardan.
Al Fardan Exchange is the only one in UAE that can produces demand draft. Did you receive you med yet ? what status are you now?

Hi Everyone! Esp mga Kabayan ko!

I got all my documents ready, Thank and Praise God i got the Bank Draft from Al Fardan in Sharjah yesterday. Thanks for all the suggestion it's really big help. Now i will finalized my papers and i will submit at the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Can anybody here tell me if how long it will take to apply for work permit/ visa? What are the possibilities that my application will be approved or deny.. Please response. Tim 123, since you're there for 2 months time, can you tell me if how long your papers processed in Embassy till you got your visa? Thanks!

Ask ko lang paano ka nakapag-apply sa Canada kung galing ka ng UAE? Through agency ba? Then how long it will take?

Direct hire ako.
Yung company ng friend ko coffee shop may vacant. So nakapasa naman sa employer niya yung work experience ko kaya nasimulan ang process. honestly sa side ko i don't know if how long it takes. Send ko pa lang kasi sa embassy ang docs ko. Inshallah and I claim God will give me visa.

I have been struggling for a work visa for a very long time. I have sales experience as well as a Bachelors degree in Commerce and Accounting - any chance of getting any leads for a job visa from the coffee shop?

As per my friend in Canada most of the employer are very particular on your worked experience whether your a degree holder or not. Length of service and related experience matters most. Anyway I myself doesn't know yet how my application worked out. I'll see on the next few months if i can have a working permit or not. But I'm always on the positive side.

Thank you very much for the shared informations regarding this topic. I'm also preparing my requirements for work permit application and these information gave me a big help to provide those. Now a days, it's almost finish but I'm worried on the category of Proof of fund, can anybody advice me if how much the possible amount to show in order to be satisfied the visa officer?

Hi Tim!

Did you process your work permit here in Abu Dhabi? So after the submission it takes 4 months? Did you submit also your documents through courier? Because i heard before applicants can submit their docs in person. Only recently rules changed. Inshallah I'll be working in Alberta.
