Hi guys
I am in a bit of a situation, my Express Entry application got denied for not submitting PCC from India where I grew up. I went back checked the PCC uploaded and then checked the file on my computer which I uploaded, it has the PCC from Indian Consulate and also from the FBI since we are living in US. I am not sure why they missed this, any advice about what I should do now would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

AOR Received.

Post the text of the denial.

In general, if CIC made a mistake (rare, but it happens), you open a CSE with them via the webform, and they look at it. Don't get too stressed.

It's rare that they make a mistake - it's usually the case that the applicant misunderstood something/made a mistake. Are you absolutely sure you followed all the instructions? For example, is your PCC valid (how long ago did you get it)? Did you travel to India after getting the PCC? Did you upload a color scan? and so on. Give us more detail so we can help you.

Once you have established beyond any doubt that it was a mistake on their part, THEN you send them a CSE.

Not yet, literally just got the message about denial, ok I will do that. In CSE should it be "Technical Difficulty" or "Replacement of Document, Amendments"?

As @21Goose mentioned, posting the text of the denial may help more experienced members comment on the next best course of action.

Did you check all of the required details:
  • If your EE profile mentioned your spouse is accompanying you, then his/her PCC must also be present
  • PCC must be scanned in color
  • PCC must not have passed its expiration (if mentioned on PCC)
  • If getting PCC for a country you are not residing in, you/your spouse, must NOT have traveled to that country AFTER getting PCC
I am in a similar scenario residing in the US, got an Indian PCC from the consulate. For me it took no more than 3-4 hrs to get a PCC, I would suggest if travel to India is the cause for the rejection, then get an updated PCC for both you and your wife and submit it as "Replacement of Document, Amendments".

Just my thought as I have just gotten news of today's cutoff and am waiting for ITA. I will be going thru the steps you did so would not mind connecting for sharing experiences.

As I suggested, post the text of the denial, and wait for a few hours to see if more experienced members comment on this thread and guide us.

Was you Indian PCC issued from SFO consulate and did you rejection state that you did not provide India PCC for/after a specific time frame?

Guys I think I found the issue and as expected short coming is on my part. I got the Indian PCC from the Indian Consulate in SF, they sent me a document along with a stamp on my passport, I uploaded the passport stamped page only but missed out the document, I guess I would have to start afresh.

No, they just stated my total growing up period in India, before I came to US.

I am assuming AOR stands for application rejection, it happened today only.
AOR would stand for Acknowledgement of Receipt, thus the date that you fully submitted your app adn IRCC acknowledged that they recieved the application.

I think you may still try to raise a CSE attaching a scanned copy of the PCC document itself explaining that this is a miss on your part and requesting clarification if you need to create an EE profile again or eAPR again or would they re-instate processing based on just this CSE.

I feel that this might not hurt. Any other experienced members?
