There is some work going on in London. We have applied via family sponsorship and just gone into process. I realise nothing may now change for months but this is a change in something. The flow of info on what is happening is abysmal so I hope this offers a little encouragement.

@sniprat : Well if its true then it really is a good news .........

The London office resumed withdrawal of service today. They have not been on continual withdrawal and were working at full strength as of last week.

What do you mean? Are they up and running at full speed?

Strange, I read that statement as "not working at all".

Isn't English a wonderful language. :D

Is there any source for this news??

There is a ray of hope in the strike by Canadian foreign service officers after Ottawa agreed to the union’s offer of binding arbitration.Just minutes before the union’s noon deadline Tuesday, Treasury Board President Tony Clement took up the offer with undisclosed conditions attached.

The ball is now on the court of the Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) whether it will agree to those conditions.

Just to share with you all that i have received passport request today from London visa office so within next week will send my passport via courier service to get visa stamped on it !

All thanks to GOD without whose help or blessing it would not have been possible !
It means that the LONDON VISA OFFICE is working regularly and is active .

It's just been announced today that the London office and 14 others round the world are back on full strike until further notice. http://www.pafso.com/news_releases.php?newsID=159
Effective Monday, in order to persuade the Government that binding arbitration remains the responsible way forward to resolve our dispute, PAFSO members will withdraw all services until further notice at Canada’s fifteen largest visa processing centres abroad: Abu Dhabi, Ankara, Beijing, Cairo, Delhi/Chandigarh, Hong Kong, London, Manila, Mexico City, Moscow, Paris, Riyadh, Sao Paulo, and Shanghai.
