Hi guys , I submitted my application on Dec 8,2022 and I have done my interviews and gotten my brown paper and work permit. I login into my IRCC PORTAL today and the date I submitted my application changed for dec 8 2022 to April 6th 2022. What does this mean or has anyone notice this.

I’m not sure but maybe april 6th is the date your case was referred to irb perhaps.
I submitted my application on January 19th and I haven’t received any information yet. How long did you have to wait for eligibility interview and did you have to do medical exam beforehand?

It's changed now that's what I can see from my portal. It doesn't show April 6th anymore, now it shows the original date of submission. Strange!

Do you see the same ? Did you get hearing date or documentation request?

I just checked again
And yes it now shows the normal date of submission.
No hearing date, no document request yet
What about you?

Same from my end, shows the original date of submission. No hearing date, no documentation requested. I believe there is a minor narrowly delay cause of the strike though they are back to work.

Hello , I got an update from IRCC …. I got notice of intent to intervene
The minister said he will not be present at my hearing.
Also his saying that when I was 16 a denied visa but when they asked I said I was never denied. But my defence is that I was a kid and my parents did all my application.
2. They are saying in 2019 my application to extend study permit was refused and I didn’t say it in my application.
also my defence is that the question was were you ever denied a visa… I never thought it meant a SP.

3. They are asking why did it take me this long to claim refugee if have been in canada 4 years ago.
My question is has anyone had this kind of encounter before. and how was the hearing? Was it hard and what was the decision.

2. An SP is a visa. I think you have no choice but to respond and say you misunderstood the question. However SPs are definitely visas.

3. Are you working with a lawyer? I think you would want to show that something has recently changed that has made you claim asylum now and not earlier. For example, there are threats against you personally now that were not there earlier.
