Application date ( eligibility) and Application Sign date

Hello everyone, I need a help regarding My application. I filled my application last month and athe date of eligibility and application date is same on the physical presence calculator can I use the same date to sign the physical presence and application form or it should be different or today’s date.

I am very confuse because on the application it says “Make sure you are eligible before the date you sign” but I’m using the same date of signing, eligibility.

Q19: Why is it important that the application date used in the calculation and the date of signature on the application form and the calculation printout be the same?
A19: This is important so that there is no confusion on your application date because your eligibility for citizenship is based on that date. If there is confusion, there will be delays in processing your application while we try to clarify the situation, especially if one of the dates makes you ineligible for citizenship. If the confusion cannot be resolved, the information appearing in your application form will be taken as the correct information and used to determine eligibility.

Per my understanding on that note "Make sure you are eligible before the date you sign", the date you sign should be after your eligibility date.
If you are already eligible, why dont you just put today's date in the application and print the calculation again and sign and date it today?

How about if I dated my application during my eligibility period? (my eligibility period is 2014-07-08 to 2019-07-08, and I signed the application form and physical present form dated on July 8) is that gonna be a problem?

The instruction in the form talks about the eligibility date whenever you reach 1095 days. Its not about the eligibility period of 5 years.
Example if you reached 1095 days in Jul 1st within that 5 year eligibility period then there wont be issue in signing the application on Jul 2nd.
Also one would anyway leave few days gap after becoming eligible to apply hence 1 day doesnt matter if one signs on 1096th day.

My situation is I got eligible way before my application date(1150 days) and I’m using same date to Sign and same date on the application form it’s last month June! Should I change it or leave it like this and send my application ??

Then no need to change unless you need to show more eligible days till today. Not sure why you are waiting for . Send it within 90 days of date signed. Good luck

Hi: I am in a similar situation.

Calculation form asks for when you are signing the application form (I put today's date= 5 June, 2024) then It shows my eligibility period as 5 June 2019 to 5 June 2024. I am using the same dates on the application form but the form won't let me sign on the same say that is June 5, 2024 and asks to sign one day after my eligibility. But if I sign it the next day on June 6, 2024, how can I achieve "ensure that application date used in this calculation and on application form are the same".

On the other hand, It will also contradict with my answer on calculation form for when you are signing the application form (June 5 vs June 6).

Can anyone help?
