Hi

I am applying for PR in may under CEC. While filling in the CEC family information form I realised that I entered wrong date of birth of my father in my study visa application form.

What should I do? should i just enter the correct date of birth now ?

Yes, enter the correct date of birth now. Mistakes happen and it's extremely unlikely that they will compare minor details like that for everything you've ever applied for.

so there is no need to write a letter of explanation for this...right?

Add it if you want. No harm in adding it. Its better to explain that you made mistake before.

m just worried if i do that, it might just flag my application hence causing a delay. however, i guess it's my prerogative.

Thats absolutely not a reason for delay. You are rectifying error you made before thats all. Thats why I suggested you to attach an explanation letter.
