Application background checks/police certificate

I am just creating this new topic to gather information regarding how long it takes to complete the background checks. My application has been in process since after i had the interview which was approved and the officer informed me that the visa will be issued soon once the background checks is completed and my medicial is running out soon in May. I think i feel like this is taking for ever and i have to do another medical test again. so coming to the quesiton how long do guys think the background checks normally takes in London office?

I've read of background check here done by a week..It depends, maybe you got a hit on your name, meaning you have the same name of somebody who has a bad background so they have to double check it or even triple check it or more
