Application Approved but Eligibility are still in review mode

Hi

The final decision show that my application was approved but they are still reviewing my eligibility.
I was call to go get my passport to the VAC centre. Can I still be denied ?

Review of eligibility We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of additional documents We do not need additional documents.
If we need your biometrics, we will send you a message in your account telling you how to submit biometrics.

Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. Help -

Background check : In some cases, we need to verify criminal, security and/or other background information to make sure you are admissible to Canada. If we need more information from you, we will send you a message.

Final decision Your application was approved. You need to send us your valid passport to finalize your application. Check your messages below for details.

I doubt you will be refused, but it does seem strange, doesn't it? I certainly hope you were approved.

Hi,

I have a very similar case for Visitor Visa - Final decision is approved and got original passport request letter. But Eligibility is still in progress and still processing background check.

We will be submitting the passport for stamping now. But we wanted to travel urgently and was hoping to book tickets today. However, we are unsure if there is any risk the application might be refused/rejected.

Anyone had similar case or option, please do let us know

I advice you send your passport as soon as possible.

As to other details (such as reviewing of eligibility and others) i suspect a webpage error... I guess.. but do send your passport.

The system always says this until the passport has been received and the counterfoil has been affixed.

It's not an issue. You've been approved.
