Application 21st June; No update

Hi,

My husband and I applied online for tourist visa to visit my in- laws for a family function.

There are no updates on the same as yet. We would ideally like to travel on 21st/ 22nd July; any idea if the visa will come through by then.

We are really stressed.

Any inputs welcome..

You applied very late. From India, the processing time is 30 days now. Hope they hit your file soon

Of course, the CIC posted times are only estimates. TRV decisions can be faster/take longer

Getting stressed out won't help.... you'll just have to wait for a decision

Processing time posted at CIC website is estimate only. Based on my recent experience for my Parents visa and comments from others on the forum it is taking more than 30 days in most cases.

No, your flight tickets will not help for a CSE:
1. Processing time has not exceeded the current 30 days. So your CSE will not be considered.

2. One must not book tickets until a visa is issued.

3. Your visit is not time critical.... unlike for example, a visit for a medical emergency, or a wedding in the family in Canada

Me too applied on 21 June 2016 but manually and expecting decision within next 2 weeks.

It is kind of time critical since I am travelling to US for official purposes on 21st July 2016, from there I wanted to join my family in Canada.. But doesnt seem like this will be happening in the current scheme of things.. :-[

You have the chance to submit your passport in the US if your Canada visitor visa application is approved.
