Applicants waiting for background checks!!!!!!!!

I AM EGYPTIAN AND SERVED ALL MY MILITARY SERVICE IN EGYPT ,,IT WAS VERY NORMAL SERVICE ,,I DIDNT SERVE IN ANY WAR AT ALL
 
My CSIS checks are ongoing for over 6 months now (outland spousal app, CIC London, never worked for government or served in the army). just filed inquiry to CSIS asking the status. hope they will get back to us soon.

emailed CIC regarding our file status - got reply that they're still conducting routine b'checks.

hope to find out soon what is the real status of these checks.
 
My step brother living in canada for 3 yrs is my sponsor and all doc have been sent to manitoba immigration since may. I still dont get any message frm them, do i need to mail them or i still need to wait more ?

I didnt start my app yet will do so Sept but looks like i gotta prepare myself for a long wait

ummm yes it might take long but it might get done n short time too who knows!!??

I have questions regarding background verifications for outland visa spousal processing to estimate timeline.

Q1 If Immigration officer wants to verfiy for background check in other countries that applicant indicated in the application, does Immigration officer have to use only CSIS or have to contact the country directly (embassy/consulate)?

If CSIS is done & submit the result to CIC, does this mean that this is the end of their background checks?

Q2 Please Confirm: Immigration Officer only do background checks on countries visited for more than 6 months and & doesn't need to ask for PCC on countries visited less than 6 months, right?

The reason I'm asking this is my husband indicated on his travel form that he went to Ukraine (Hungary-Ukraine Border) various 1 day trips to buy cheap goods (food & drinks).

I'm worried that they may ask for PCC or perhaps do a background verification to Ukraine which will delay processing time.

Q1> It is CSIS who will decide whom to contact and then CIC will do the job.

Q2>only countries that the applicant has lived for more than 6 months and no PCC required from those countries.

HI ISAR.....heres my timeline

6th october 2010 application recived in Mississuague
6th NOv got first approval and PR application sent to CAIRO - EGYPT
15th April e-case showing Application recived in cairo
5th May e-case showing,,MEDICAL RESULTS BEEN RECIVED

it never said " IN PROCESS" : not sure what does it mean ,,,
and i dnt know when my BC started

ope hear some good news this month of JULY

checked time processing time for Cairo, it is one year.
you can inquire about your file status by email. it will help to understand where you are in your application.
anyhow your app timeline is still within normal time processing in your visa office.

Well today I got a call from CSIS. They said they send me a letter regarding inquiry of my husband's background checks. Once I received it, if I have more questions, then I can call them again. hmmm....I wonder what's on the letter, anxious.

according to CIC they started BC in January. in the end of July got email from them telling me they're still in process..
 
Hi guys!

did anyone tried to file a complaint about CIC slowly processing your supposed-to-be fast-track FAM case?

our CIC just advises us to wait patiently for no-limited period of time (basically they didn't answer the question on how long we need to wait, just wait and that's it).. our case is ongoing b/checks for 6 months now and no info from CIC when these checks will be completed. the case is straight - forward, no government or military background for both.

maybe, if we request to transfer our case to a different CIC in another country it might help to speed up the process? or MP could help to find out what is the real cause for slow processing?

please, anyone who had experience with these advise if these measures or anything can help to speed it up.
